There were 8261 EOIs submitted and 226 invitations issued in July 2012. India, China and Britain were the top three citizenships for EOIs submitted and invitations to apply issued. Of EOIs submitted the main occupation groups are Computer Programmers, Accountants and Engineers. The major subclasses for EOIs were Skilled Independent (26.3%), State and Territory Nominated (25.8%), Employer Nomination Scheme (16.4%) and Skilled Family Sponsored (14.1%).
